OneWay Sports is thrilled to announce that Jaylin Scott, our standout American guard, has been drafted by the Halifax Hoopers, one of the newest franchises in The Basketball League (TBL). This draft mark is more than a milestone—it’s the beginning of Jaylin’s next professional chapter, and we couldn’t be prouder.

College & Early Pro Career: The Rise of an Under-the-Radar Star

Jaylin’s journey reflects his grit and growth. At Marshalltown CC (NJCAA), he posted 10.9 PPG, 2.1 RPG, 1.2 APG, earning NJCAA DII All-District and All-Conference honors. He then transferred to Milwaukee Area Tech, averaging 14.2 PPG, 3.2 RPG, 4.1 APG, and later added NCAA DII experience at Glenville State with 6.1 PPG. Each stage brought greater responsibility and deeper refinement.

Transition to The Basketball League

In his inaugural season with Halifax, Jaylin looks to show he belongs among TBL’s emerging guards. His court vision, clean ball handling, and team-first mentality make him an ideal fit for expansion team’s ambitions.

“His high IQ, elite shooting, and zero turnovers make him a turnkey pro. Jaylin is ready to lead and deliver.” — Cedric Kasongo, Agency Director

Why Halifax? Strategic Fit for Jaylin’s Growth

The Halifax Hoopers will debut in March, 2025 as one of TBL’s first Canadian teams led by respected coach-GM Augy Jones. Playing in a community-driven setting at Zatzman Sportsplex, the Hoopers emphasize development, fan connection, and local recruitment—values that align with Jaylin’s professional ethos and aspiration.

What’s Next? Professionalism with a Purpose

With draft night behind him, Jaylin will step into training camp determined to cement his role on the roster. Elite Hoops Agency will support his preparations—focusing on physical readiness, film study, and integration into Halifax's system. As the team builds cohesion, Jaylin is positioned to make an immediate impact.

“He’s the kind of guard every coach wants—smart, calm, and clutch,” adds Agency Director Kasongo. “This draft pick highlights his journey from overlooked to undeniable.”
